Warranty Policy

BlitzBikes provides transparent warranty terms so you always know what to expect. Below you’ll find a summary of our warranty coverage and conditions.

General Warranty

You receive a 2-year warranty on manufacturing and material defects, including the frame structure. The warranty is void if damage occurs due to improper use, unauthorized modifications, or use outside intended purposes.

Article 16.1 – General Terms

BlitzBikes guarantees that the delivered product complies with the agreement and operates without defects. The standard warranty is valid for one calendar year after delivery unless stated otherwise. Damage caused by misuse, third-party modifications, or improper maintenance is excluded.

Water damage to electrical components is not covered. Our scooters are splash-resistant, not waterproof.

Article 16.2 – Warranty Conditions

  • Mandatory maintenance: first at 1500 km, then every 4000 km.
  • Failure to perform maintenance voids the warranty.
  • Storage: dry location, between 0 °C and 50 °C.
  • Battery should be charged monthly, even when not in use.

Article 16.2.A – Battery Warranty

Li-ion batteries come with a 1-year warranty. Normal wear or capacity loss is not covered. Within the first year, the battery retains at least 70% of its original capacity if properly used and maintained.

Article 16.2.B – Batterylabs Warranty

  • 2-year warranty on parts supplied by Batterylabs.
  • Batteries: minimum 12-month warranty with normal use.
  • For use outside the Netherlands, customer must verify local compliance.
  • No coverage for misuse, water, fall, or impact damage.
  • Demo and custom-made products are excluded from warranty.

Article 16.3 – Warranty Exclusions

  • Improper or careless use.
  • Failure to maintain or poor repair quality.
  • Incorrectly installed components or unauthorized modifications.
  • Cleaning with pressurized water.
  • Weather-related damage, corrosion, or normal wear.

Conformity & Coverage

BlitzBikes ensures that the product conforms to specifications and is suitable for normal use. The warranty includes:

  • 1 year on electrical components
  • 2 years on the frame (excluding rust)
  • 1 year on battery pack

Wear parts such as tires, brakes, and bearings are excluded.

Service Outside Warranty

  • Hourly rate: €60
  • Call-out fee: €0.50 per km (min. €25)
  • Extra cost for service on Wadden Islands borne by the customer
